​Damien’s main working career has been dedicated to the business of golf. Across sixteen years of experience, his journey has included roles at all levels of operations, sales and management at venues and management companies, including Target Golf Management, Synergy Golf Management, My Golf Group, Moyvalley Golf Club, New Forrest Golf Club, Citywest Hotel & Golf Resort, and the Spawell Golf Centre.

In 2017, Damien joined the Confederation of Golf in Ireland (Golf Ireland), where he provided business consultancy and training to club owners, staff and officials across Ireland. During his time with the CGI, he also created numerous resources to guide clubs in proven business improvement practices, most notably the Golf Club Membership Development Hub and Club Business Planning Guide. 

​A dedicated student of the business of golf, Damien earned a Bachelor of Business Studies from UCD in 2018. He further enhanced his industry expertise through additional education with the CMAE, obtaining a Diploma in Club Management and later achieving the globally recognized Certificate of Club Management (CCM) from the CMAE & CMAA in 2024. This accomplishment makes him one of only 78 recipients in Europe.

Damien returned to mygolfGroup in November 2019 to establish and lead the Club Consultancy Services. He is responsible for overseeing company operations, working daily across a portfolio of private and public sector clients to develop business-critical areas, including governance, sales and marketing growth, membership development, operations, change management and strategic planning. He is also responsible for researching and sharing best practices with clubs.
